Sofie D'Hoore is back in our shop and I am thrilled.  After a break from traveling to shows in Paris for both the brand and Habits, I took a leap of faith again and was able to work with the collections via zoom and workbooks. I am such a fan of this brand for the timeless style, minimalist look, the incredible construction and the wonderful fabrics. 

In 1985, with her dental degree fresh in hand, she enrolled at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp where she studied under Walter Van Beirendonck.

“I like to think of my work as a constant search for refinement in terms of cut, color, and execution. The integrity of the fabrics is paramount,” D’Hoore insists. 

The collections are to me, a masterful example of restraint. The perfect color palette, the cut of a trouser, and the volume without a sense of being overwhelmed. Every piece I own is a go to and a treasure. It is sophistcated and creative all at once.
