Italian Style

From food to clothing to lifestyle, we adore everything Italy. Check out some of our favorite Italian cultural aspects and how to tap into it in our little American mountain town.

habits “italian style”

Words By: Arcy Hawks

Made in Italy sounds so chic.  It denotes quality, style, and artisanal.  So much so that recently, the Italian government has been cracking down on this terminology.  It must all be made in Italy, made in reputable factories, and made with well paid workers.

For us, Made in Italy means timeless, heritage, and lovely fabrics.  Two of our brands, Il Bisonte and Guidi, own their factories and use some of the finest leathers.  Guidi started by providing leather and manufacturing for some of the big houses in fashion.  Now, they make exceptional footwear that lasts a lifetime.

Habits ‘Italian Style” is more about fitting chic basics with our Western style, too.

Our list of ‘Made in Italy’ products is always evolving, but our favorites are Faliero Sarti, Il Bisonte, Guidi, and Alberto Fasciani. Made in Italy but not Italian is a Habits favorite, Hannoh Wessel. All these brands align so well with what we believe and continue to make beautiful collections in the truest sense of Italian Style.
