The JH Center for the Arts and JH Public Art created an opportunity for local talent to create an outdoor pavilion on the lawn of Carrie Geraci is a close friend and the director of JH Public Art. A passionate advocate for creativity and bringing art to the masses, she has made our little town world class. Art should never be exclusive. Art should provoke, make you think, make you angry, make you laugh, make you cry, it should stir emotions. We should all be exposed to it. Jackson is fortunate to have people like Carrie who care about our community and keeping art alive for everyone.
We decided to spend an afternoon shooting and playing among the towering panels, that contrast from light to dark and captured these lovely images. If you are in our neck of the woods, stop by the Center lawn and enjoy the art. We did. It turned out beautifully and is a shining example of what can happen when a community opens its mind to art.
